With support from Einhorn Collaborative, the Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC), Healthy Places by Design, and Harvard University's Human Flourishing Program have launched the Action Guide for Building Socially Connected Communities, an interactive toolkit designed to provide local leaders and changemakers with a road map for promoting meaningful social connection and belonging for community flourishing. The guide identifies six steps these leaders can take to build coalitions with other community members and co-create effective, sustainable plans for social connection.
A lack of adequate social connection has profound costs to our individual and collective health and well-being. According to a 2022 Meta-Gallup study, only 39% of adults in the U.S. feel emotionally connected to others. In light of this growing crisis of connection, the Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC), Harvard University's Human Flourishing Program, and Healthy Places by Design, with the support from Einhorn Collaborative, have created the Action Guide for Building Socially Connected Communities. Designed for local leaders and changemakers, the interactive guide features a six-step process to engage partners and community members in implementing strategies to foster social connection.
With this interactive toolkit, we invite you to bring together local leaders and members within your community to co-create effective, sustainable social connection action plans. Join us as we work to build connected communities across the nation!
